Der Herr verzögertnicht mit der Erfüllungder Verheißung, wie einige meinen, die von Verzögerung reden ; er ist nur geduldig mit euch, weil er nichtwill, dass jemand zugrunde geht, sodass alle sich bekehren. Der Tag des Herrn wird aber kommen wie ein Dieb, dann wird der Himmel prasselnd vergehen, die Elemente werden verbrannt und aufgelöst, die Erde und alles, was auf ihr ist, werden nicht mehr gefunden. Wenn sich dasalles in dieserWeise auflöst, wie heilig und fromm müsst ihr dann leben, den Tag Gottes erwarten und seineAnkunft beschleunigen. An jedemTag wird sich der Himmel im Feuer auflösen und dieElemente werden imBrand zerschmelzen. Dann erwarten wirderVerheißung gemäß einen neuen Himmel undeine neue Erde, in denen die Gerechtigkeit wohnt; weil ihr das erwartet, bemüht euch darum, ohne Makel und Fehler und im Frieden angetroffen zu werden ; seid gewiss, dass die Geduld unseresHerrn eure Rettung ist.
Nur ein gottgefälliges Leben kann die Seele zur Reifung bringen und die Rettung des einzelnen nach seinem Tod bewirken , alle anderen werden bis zu ihrem Verderben warten bis zum Endgericht , dann, wenn die Erde verglühen wird.
Gottes Reich auf erden wird nur entstehen , wenn wir dem Herrn den Weg bereiten mit Frieden und Gerechtigkeit, ansonsten werden wir warten müssen, bis diese Erde verglüht ist und ein neuer Himmel und eine neue Erde entstehen werden als Ort der Gerechtigkeit.
